Q1 entry - This website is an assigned project in Mr. Brocato's English class. Not computer science, design, or even coding. So why is he having us build an entire website? It's obviously because he hates his students and wants them to struggle, right? It's quite the opposite case. He wants our websites to look nice and function well. The main reason for this assignment isn't to show if we can build a website or not, this portfolio is made to showcase our work and progress throughout the year.

Q2 entry - Anyone in 9th grade English honors can write, at least that's what we've been made to think. You see, we can put words down on a page to formulate sentences but is that writing? In this class we learn to formulate our thoughts and opinions, to create stories, sell ideas, and pull the reader in. We are discovering our styles through trial and error. This class truly teaches us how to write and not just go through the motions.

Q3 Entry - I've come to learn that I am my own worst enemy. That the only thing getting in my way is me. This quarter has taught me so many things about myself. I'm beginning to see things in a new light like how much of an issue my procrastination has gotten to be. I've learned that my writing can't mean anything to others if it means nothing to me. This quarter has me starting to think, Who am I and what is my message? Once I can answer this question I believe my writing will significantly improve and will become my own.
